DSL Swisscom Firmware Upgrade on all DSLAMs
Dear xDSL Customer
A firmware upgrade is necessary on all of our DSLAMs. Therefore all BBCS Services will be interrupted with a duration of up to 30 minutes. The firmware upgrade is scheduled during 3 Coordinated Maintenance Windows (CMW) and 3 Maintenance Windows (MW) from 17.01.2012 to 25.03.2012 Schedule 17.01.2012 to 25.03.2012. during 3 CMWs and 3 MWs 1 17.01.2012 ca. 20 locations (Pilot; MW) 2 07.02.2012 ca. 500 locations (Pilot; MW) 3 04.03.2012 ca. 1500 locations (CMW) 4 14.03.2012 ca. 1500 locations (MW) 5 18.03.2012 ca. 1000 locations (CMW) 6 25.03.2012 ca. 500 locations (CMW) 15.04.2012 Reserve CMW (just in case this is required) 22.04.2012 Reserve CMW (just in case this is required) After the first firmware upgrade on 17.01.2012 the final schedule will be defined. The overview of the affected locations for the following CMWs/MWs will be communicated continuous. Migration time Between 2:00 and 6:00 o'clock Intervention reason New firmware for ALU IP DSLAMs. Reserve date The CMW of 15.04.2012 and 22.04.2012 are reserved (just in case this is required) Customer impact The BBCS service will be interrupted with a duration of up to 30 minutes. Normaly no reset of the modem/router is necessary after the firmware upgrade. However, on certain modem/router a reset may be necessary, therefore we recommend to reset the xDSL modem/router. |
